Lysander Youth Hockey and Three Rivers Community,
As you have surely heard, Governor Hocul's indoor mask mandate for public spaces goes into effect tomorrow, December 13. Because we lack the capacity to confirm vaccination status of all of the entrants of our facility, we are forced to require that all people entering the facility wear a mask at all times while inside the building.
Unfortunately, this also means that each player and coach is required to wear a mask while on the ice or on the turf, as our rink and turf field are considered indoor public spaces under the new mandate. Because it is more practical for coaches to monitor this on a teamwide basis, we are giving each team coach the option of allowing their fully vaccinated team members and coaches to take his or her mask off but only while on the ice or on the turf field. This will be on a team-by-team basis and be a decision made by the head coach and team manager of each team. Please contact your head coach and/or team manager to determine if your team will be allowing this.
Please know that we are taking this mandate seriously as there are significant fines that can be imposed for non-compliance ($1,000 per violation per person!), and we are looking to you to help us make sure that we can remain compliant. As a 501c3, we cannot afford to take on the responsibility of these harsh penalties.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
