Hockey Pros Coming to TRAC

Five local hockey professionals will face off against Central New York youth hockey teams in the Future Stars Showcase fundraiser for the Three Rivers Athletic Complex (TRAC) on Sunday, Aug. 24 from 3 to 7 p.m.

Joel Farabee (Calgary Flames), Luke Tuch (Montreal Canadiens), Thomas Harley (Dallas Stars), Roman Schmidt (Tampa Bay Lightning) and Eamon Powell (Charlotte Checkers) will form a team to play against area youth players to raise money for TRAC. Seven different youth hockey teams will play 15-minute mini games against the pros during the 90-minute showcase with Daniel Walcott as the Master of Ceremonies.

Following the showcase, all in attendance will have the opportunity to meet with the professional players for autographs and photos.

The Overtime Bar and Grill will be open and The Josh Taylor Project will be providing live music starting at 5:00.

Tickets to the fundraiser will be available at the door for $10 per adult and $5 per kid.

Three Rivers Athletic Complex, home to the Lysander Youth Hockey Association and Baldwinsville High School hockey team, is a nonprofit organization governed by the volunteers that utilize the complex. All funds raised during the Future Stars Showcase will benefit TRAC. The complex is located at 2725 West Entry Road in Baldwinsville.
